Got My Ticket

I got my ticket home the other day. I fly in June 13. Just in time for all the birthday celebrations. I packed up a couple boxes to send home. I might have to pack one more, but everything else I should be able to bring back with me. Now all I have to worry about is finding a job. I might be tutoring a friend of Sammy's but that will probably only be a few hours a week. We'll see what happens.

I was just wondering if anyone has given any thought to what they are getting Katlyn, Christina, and Dad for their birthdays. Maybe for Dad we can all chip in and combine his birthday and Father's Day and get him something nice for outside. We'll have to ask Mom what they need/want. Target has some really nice patio fire rings. What about a chiminaia (spelling??? LOL). Let me know!

Tiffy.....Camping is a great idea for Katlyn's party. You don't have to wait til I get back, but that would be nice if you did so I can help out. And I think we should take Christina out to the bars and get her drunk for her birthday!

Longest Padre Game Ever!

I went to the Padre vs Arizona game last night. The Padres were leading 4-3 all the way up to the top of the 9th when our closing pitcher decided to give away a run, tying up the game 4-4. It wasn't until the bottom of the 15th Phil Nevin finally decided to bat one in. And don't you know, we stayed until the very end while over half the fans left at the 10th. It was still fun though, I just hope it doesn't happen again while I'm at a game.

Everyone back in Ohio is or has been deathly ill for the past week. Thanks to Cory and Gracie, Mom, me, Tiffy, and Katlyn all got the flu. As an added bonus I had strep throat as well and Tiffy's turned into mild nuemonia (spelling??). I'm finally starting to feel better. Flying was really crappy, but I made it.

New Tractor

Well, Bruce bought a new lawn tractor. All he needs now is a cowboy hat and "She think's my tractor's sexy" blaring in the background. It's a White LT 1650...upgraded to 18.5 horsepower, a 48 in. deck, with auto deck wash, all leather interior, and a beer holder. Wait until the Kay Dawg get's her new chore list! LMAO! Of course, Dad had to go with Bruce, so he could make sure Bruce knew what he was doing, didn't get ripped off, and got the absolute best for his money....that's Dad for ya. Well, I'll talk to you all later!

hey guys. not much new up here in big sky country. what's new with you guys? oh, i bought a dyson vaccum cleaner yesterday. it's a pretty darn good vaccum. i vaccumed with my old vaccum then i used the dyson and i filled it up. my carpets look a lot better after just one use. i'd send you a picture of the beast but my camera is broke. i think i'm going to have to send it back to canon to get it fixed. well, that's about all i've got. stacy and i are off to go see the ring 2. i hope it's good.

Harry Potter

I'm in a bit of a Harry Potter craze at the moment. I started reading them a few weeks ago because I figured Angels and Demons was never going to make it to my doorstep unless I bought it myself! Oh well, Harry will do. I'm about a third into the 4th book and so far it is my favorite. I love George and Fred Weasly! And I'm seriously considering trying to find a way we can play Quidditch on foot. Any suggestions? I've also just recently watched all 3 movies and they really sucked compared to the books. Hopefully the 4th will be a bit better.

I entered myself in a little pool at work for the Division 1 Men's Bracket. I got a call yesterday telling me that so far I am in the lead. The pool is up to $100. I have 23 points for the first round. Never in my wildest dreams did I think Kansas and Syracuse would lose in the first round! I have them both going to regionals too. I guess I'm out those points. But that's ok because I know of a few people who had them in the final 4. Well, wish me luck! I could use a $100.

Ok, I figured it out. I had to go back and invite myself to join Dillon Clan. Duh! Well, we are getting the UHaul on Sat. to get all the BIG stuff, like the furniture and washer and dryer, etc. Our first night in the new house won't be until the 25th though. That's when all the utilities get transfered and the cable and internet get hooked up. We will still be using cable modem, which is a load off my mind. I was worried we would have to go back to dial up and I would have to kill myself.

Anyways, gots lots to finish tonight...gotta go pick up Kay Dawg from softball practice in about 10 minutes too. Oh and Mikey, I got the check....THANKS! James just called me a few days ago for my b-day....dummy! Talk to you all later! HOLA & A REEV A DER CHEE! lol!

Gas is $1.95 on base. I've seen it as high as $2.06. This is ridiculous. I read that it's $3.33 in Malibu, CA. How much are you guys paying? I only get about $10-$15 worth when I get it in hopes that it will go down.

Spring Break

I've only been on break for one day and already I'm bored out of my mind. Aside of going to the gym everyday I probably won't be doing much. I picked all the weeds and racked the leaves in the front yard yesterday to keep busy. I must say, it does look nice out there. I felt like Mom for a minute while I was out there. I might be helping my friend, Matt, move into his new house this weekend. He is moving into our neighborhood. Not much else is going on in my neck of the woods. Hope everything is going well with you guys.

I am now an official for Varsity Shot Put at Helix. The track coach needed someone with experience so he was pointed in my direction. The first meet was Thursday. It was fun I guess. I get paid so I can't complain too much. It brings back those fun high school memories. The throwing coach said he might contact me about helping out at practices with the JV throwers. I think I'd get paid for that too. We'll see what happens.

New Apartment

I moved into my new place on Saturday. I hate moving. It took way longer than I thought. All of Tessa's bedroom furniture is solid wood. That means it is very heavy. I'm glad we got a first floor apartment. I really like this place. It is so much bigger than our old place. 355 sq ft bigger to be exact. I actually have room to walk around and we have a full size washer and dryer. I chewed out the cable company for screwing me over twice, before I even had any service. I'm getting $20 off my bill for the next 6 months on top of their promotions. Don't mess with me. I'm gonna be spending about $40 this month for phone, internet, and digital cable with a DVR and it will only be $70 next month compared to the $90 it was going to be. Oh yeah, I get every movie channel too. My phone service will start tomorrow, hopefully, or I will be getting more off my bill. I'll have the same phone number. My address is 2431A Meadowridge Ln, Montgomery AL 36117. This apartment location is right in the middle of everything and I mean everything. That means more traffic, but it's worth it. I think when I come back from my deployment I will come back here. I have nothing more to say.

Amazing Race 8

Unfortunatly Tiffy is cripple, James can't get leave, Mikey will be gone, and Christina has 3 kids! That leaves Mom and Dad..........we don't need to go there...LOL! I guess I'll just have to wait til season 9 and find some other partner.

Well it's 10pm and we are just getting back from the new house. Got most of the priming done in Katlyn's bedroom, but will have to give it a 2nd coat tomorrow. Everything has been cleaned, so it's mostly just the painting that needs to be done. We also have to shampoo the carpets. I hope to start moving thing's a little at a time come the 1st week of March. We have until the 31st of March to be out of here, but I would like to have an empty house to clean that last week.

The kitchen is really big and has lot's of cabinet's for storage, but I have been told by Bruce that he gets to "design" the interior of the cabinet's since I get the rest of the house... He can have them! It will be nice to have so much more room in the house though and not be stepping over each other all the time. Katlyn is happy to have a room to decorate any way she wants and another room for her and her friend's to hang out in. I also get a workshop!! No more building things inside and getting dust everywhere from the sander!!

My friend Shahjan took me and a few girls from work to an Indian Restaurant about 20 minutes from here. I was really nervous about going in the first place because you know how picky I am. When we got there I was even more hesitant. The food looked terrible! I decided to go with the buffet to be safe and only took little spoonfuls of each thing in case I decided to puke it up later. To my surprise I loved it! My friends and I all had 3 plates each. I was very proud of myself for trying something so different. One good thing about being out here is that I have tried so many new kinds of food. You can't get this stuff in Albany!

I must say, I am getting very frustrated with this show. It seems like with each new episode you are left with more questions without any of your old ones being answered. I will still tune in week after week in hopes that the writers and producers might give me something to ease my curious mind. I have read, though, that the monster will be revealed this season. I also regret to inform you that Lost will be going on a six week hiatus after Hurley's episode on March 2nd. Locke's episode will be next which airs on April 13th.

I went to see Constantine yesterday. It was a pretty good movie. Apparently it's based off the comic book Hellblazer. You don't need to know anything about the comics to be able to follow the movie. I recommend this movie if you have nothing better to do.
